Enrico Pieranunzi has long been one of the best-known and appreciated personalities on the world jazz scene. Pianist, composer, arranger, he has recorded more than seventy cd’s under his own name, ranging from solo piano to trio, and from duet to quintet. He has played in concert and in the studio with Chet Baker, Lee Konitz, Chris Potter, Paul Motian and Charlie Haden, performing at all the most important international festivals, from Montreal to Copenhagen, from Berlin and Madrid to Jerusalem.
In 2004 he toured Japan performing with his American trio, including bassist Marc Johnson and drummer Joey Baron.
His latest cd - published by Camjazz - is dedicated to the music of Domenico Scarlatti, combining jazz improvisation with classical music.

“Somewhere between dream and vision, Pieranunzi succeeds in doing something that’s never been done before, improvising on the sonatas of the greatest Baroque improvisator ever. Simply unique.”
